Term Four - Week 4
Our Vision and Mission
Vision Statement
With Jesus Christ as their role model, all children can and will achieve.
Mission Statement
Inspired by Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop and in partnership with parents, our Parish and the wider community, we aim to impart a holistic education on all children in our school. We endeavour to live by the values of our school motto.
Learning, Understanding and Peace.
St Joseph’s is distinguished by a great sense of belonging, where each person is valued and where learning is enjoyable.
Prayer of the day

Romans 15:14-21. The Lord has revealed to the nations his saving power – Ps 97(98):1-4. Luke 16:1-8.
Draw up an account of your stewardship
There comes a time in our lives when we find ourselves in exactly the position of the steward –retrenchment, retirement, change of occupation. The man stopped to consider what, for him, seemed a bleak future; not fit for strenuous work and not prepared to go on the dole.
These times can become spiritually productive if we take ourselves to prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to do the talking. Let us keep in mind, always, that God has a future planned for each of us that would blow our minds were we given the barest glimpse of it. It is in the light of faith that we can plot the next move along the way

Student Of The Week

WELLBEING
Wellbeing
On Monday Gabe Middleton presented each of our Choir and Fit Voice children with a Certificate of Completion, recognising their hard work, dedication, and progress throughout term 3. These certificates are a testament to their efforts and enthusiasm for singing, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!
A huge congratulations is also in order for all the Fit Voice children who have been invited to attend Gabe’s special Christmas concert in Orange at the end of the year. (Invitations to follow) This is a fantastic opportunity for our young singers to showcase their talents and enjoy an unforgettable musical experience.
We would like to give a special mention to Elsie Meade, who was awarded the title of Best Student Overall Student by Gabe. Elsie's dedication and talent have truly shone through, and she has earned the exciting opportunity to attend free specialised singing lessons at Gabe’s renowned singing school in Orange. We are so proud of Elsie and look forward to seeing her continue to grow as a singer.
Yesterday, Year 5/6 and some of the infants helped Jane Shannon and Chris plant lots of exciting plants for our playground. We look forward to watching them grow. There were a variety of edible plants as well as grasses, wattle and other wonderful natives. The children particularly enjoyed smelling the chocolate lily!

FROM THE REC
Year 3 Religion
This week in Year 3, we have been exploring the Lord’s Prayer and investigating what we are actually saying when we pray it. We discovered that each line has a special meaning and helps us understand how to talk to God with love, respect, and trust.
- Our Father, who art in heaven – reminds us that God is a loving Father who cares for everyone.
- Hallowed be Thy name – means we praise God and keep His name holy.
- Thy kingdom come – asks for God’s love, peace, and goodness to grow in our world.
- Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven – reminds us to live the way God wants us to.
- Give us this day our daily bread – teaches us to trust God to provide what we need each day.
- And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us – encourages us to forgive others just as God forgives us.
- And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil – asks God to help us make good choices and stay close to Him.
After exploring the meaning of each line, Year 3 wrote their own versions of the Our Father prayer, using their own words to express gratitude, forgiveness, and trust in God. Please find some of our prayers below.

Thanks for making us on earth.
